GLEAN provides expeditions, training, and support to teenagers researching world cultures and issues. Students have researched cultures in Mongolia, China, Siberia, India, Botswana, South Africa, and Nicaragua for one to two months at a time.

GLEAN empowers students to take learning into their own hands.
Students between the ages of 13 and 19 create their individualized trips by developing a topic they would like to study, interviewing people on their wish list, and then documenting lifestyles when they arrive in the country.
|
Government officials, shaman, authors, women with multiple husbands, teenage nuns..., students name the people they wish to learn from and our international guides work with the students to find them.
